Ultrasonic Herbals Extraction Equipment
Sonication, or ultrasonication, is a soundwave technology widely used in biofuels, pharmaceuticals, wastewater processing, and other major industries. It's also necessary for nanoemulsions and other nanoparticle production — which might sound familiar as it's now widely used within the cannabidiol (CBD) sector too.

What's sonication?
Ultrasonic Emulsifieris a soundwave technology widely used in biofuels, pharmaceuticals, wastewater processing, and other major industries. It's also necessary for nanoemulsions and other nanoparticle production — which might sound familiar as it's now widely used within the cannabidiol (CBD) sector too.
But, ultrasonic technology may be helpful for more than just nanoemulsion. This high-frequency technology is getting applied to the extraction side of the industry as well.
By and large, the cannabis extraction world today relies almost exclusively on traditional extraction technologies that use solvents, heat, and pressure. But what if there was a way to improve upon the current solvent standards。

Advantages:
Improve the emulsification effect
According to the droplet size of the dispersed phase, emulsions can be classified into microemulsions (10–100 nm), nanoemulsions (100–1000 nm) and macroemulsions (0.5–100 μm). Ultrasound is an effective method for reducing the particle size of dispersions and emulsions. Ultrasonic emulsification equipment can obtain emulsions with small particle size (only 0.2–2 μm) and narrow droplet size distribution (0.1–10 μm), and the use of emulsifiers can also increase the concentration of the emulsion by 30% to 70%.
Enhance emulsion stability
By nature, emulsions are kinetically unstable, do not form spontaneously, and will separate into their constituent phases if their stability is not controlled. Therefore, to stabilize the newly formed droplets of the dispersed phase against coalescence, emulsifiers and stabilizers are added to the emulsion. Phacoemulsification requires the use of little or no emulsifiers to obtain stable emulsions. After ultrasonic treatment, the emulsion can maintain stability for several months or more than half a year.
Control lotion type
Under certain conditions, both "water-in-oil" and "oil-in-water" emulsions can be produced by ultrasonic techniques. The traditional emulsification method can only control the properties of the emulsion by adding an emulsifier, and the type of the emulsion cannot be changed by purely mechanical methods. Ultrasonic emulsification equipment makes the emulsification process more convenient and flexible.
low power consumption
The power consumption of phacoemulsification is small, and the power consumption required to manufacture the same volume of emulsion is less than that of a high-pressure homogenizer. To manufacture an emulsion with a capacity of 4.55 m3/h and a droplet size of 1 μm, if ultrasonic emulsification technology is used, only a driving force of 57 HP is required at a working pressure of 10.514.1kg/cm2, but the high-pressure homogenizer is at 70.3351.6kg /cm2 of working pressure requires 4050 HP of driving force, so the use of phacoemulsification technology can reduce a lot of energy Consumption.
Improve the efficiency of emulsification
Ultrasonic emulsification can produce emulsions that cannot be produced by general emulsification methods. As the energy density increases, the droplet size decreases. At an appropriate level of energy density, phacoemulsification can achieve an average droplet size of less than 1 μm. Ultrasound makes the whole emulsification process faster and the purity of the produced emulsion is higher.
